Apples are the favorite fruit of my family. We eat them raw. We make applesauce. I make a lot of pies. For the first time, recently, I made baked apples:
6 apples (I only used 5 but there was plenty of stuffing for more)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of oats (I used regular old-fashioned)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
dash of salt
1/4 cup of melted butter
Peel apples and core the apples
Mix together your filling ingredients
Spoon the filling into the apples
Pour about 1 cup of water into the pan
Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
Serve with icecream or vanilla yogurt.
