Sleeping Linen

Along with sewing more for my kids, I also want to use up some of my fabric stash. I have a lot of prints that my kids are too old to wear as clothing. What to make with it? Sleepwear. I made this for my nightgown-loving daughter:

The fabric is 100% linen printed with fairies. It was trimmed with some of my mother-in-law’s lace and ribbon.

It was a pleasure sewing the linen and I kept fingering the fabric — it has a soft yet silky texture. When Margaux saw it after school she wanted to immediately put it on to lounge around and read in. Not a bad idea. Now, I want to make myself a linen nightgown too and lounge around in it with my daughter.
