Back to School Clothes

9 Sep 2010 by admin, 1 Comment »

It feels good to be back at my sewing machines.  I have been busy making some back-to-school stuff for Oli.  All these shirts were transformed from adult-sized thrift store shirts.

I love this one — it’s a nice reflection of my child.

And this one shows off his goofy side.

I am so tempted to make a snap-on cape for the back of that shirt.  And since he’ll be wearing Captain Underpants, it seemed like a good time to sew him some new ones to wear.

From new fabric — not thrifted.  There are several more shirts in the basement calling to me.  I am looking forward to seeing what they’ll turn into when mixed with my fabric stash.  Let the fun begin!

Love the shirts! If the foster-darlings ever go home, I will start sewing again.
