My niece is expecting a baby in May. Her baby shower was this past weekend. My kids wanted to make a special gift — something personal for their soon-to-be second cousin. After some thought, we came up with this fun idea. Using fabric markers, they each drew little pictures on some cotton muslin.
I cut the pictures out, applied heat and bond to them, and ironed each on to a onesie. Then, after carefully stitching around the picture –a unique, one-of-a-kind gift:
I was worried that my gift would seem kind of cheap and homemade. When one of the older women at the shower exclaimed over them and asked “where I had them made,” I knew they were ok. Especially because they were made right in the hearts of my children.
